Milk Producing Animals

Did you know? Not all milk comes from cows, and not all dairy products are made from cow's milk. There is goat cheese made from - you guessed it - goat's milk, or mozzarella, which is made from the milk of water buffaloes. Here are some examples of different female animals which give milk that humans somewhere on this planet drink or transform into edible products.

The female sheep is called a ewe.

Can you imagine that in some Northern countries like Russia and Sweden, even a female moose is milked?

... and even seals, whose milk contains a lot of fat.
