Considered Canada's best and most renowned consumer food and wine appreciation event, the annual Gourmet Food & Wine Expo is held every November and enters its 14th year. Over four days the show offers visitors one of the most extensive selections of fine wines and specialty foods from around the world. More than 35,000 gourmets will flock to the Metro Convention Centre, November 20-23, to experience some of the finest food and wines Canada the world have to offer.
This consumer show offers guests the opportunity to sample over 1200 fine wines, beers and spirits from around the globe. Guests will also enjoy sample gourmet food products and signature dishes from Toronto's best restaurants. The Food Network Stage features education and sampling by celebrity and talented local chefs.
The team of the German Agricultural Marketing Board will bring the taste of Germany to this year's show. At booths 509 & 511 we will offer complimentary samples, showcasing a wide variety of specialties from Germany. In one of the adjacent booths (513) visitors will be able to pair the imported specialties with wine from Germany to experience the great flavors of this culinary powerhouse.

The Christkindlmarket Chicago is the most popular authentic German winter holiday event in the city of Chicago. The market is celebrating its 13th year in 2008 and is looking forward to welcoming an estimated one million guest to Daley Plaza, in the heart of the city, between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. A variety of typical German foods will tantalize the taste buds. The popular savory dishes range from potato pancakes, bratwurst and Leberkäse with sauerkraut to treats for those with a sweet-tooth including European chocolates and baked goods, roasted nuts, and many more delights. The famous Glühwein, which is served in a souvenir boot shaped mug, and the imported German beer rounds off the culinary tour.
